Frequently Asked Questions
Your Appointment – What Should I Expect?
Your one to one appointment will be with a trained stylist who can assist you to find your dream wedding gown. Appointments are generally 1.5 hours, for yourself and up to three guests.
What Underwear/Shoes Should I Wear?
We would suggest wearing light coloured underwear for trying on wedding gowns or if you wish to wear spanx, please do so, do not be embarrassed. A large percentage of our brides wear these undergarments on their wedding day to make them feel more confident.
A pale shoe with a higher wedge heel, that is easy to slip on and off, will make your visit more comfortable. All gowns are made for 5′ 8″ brides. We don’t advise high shoes with a sharp heel as these can snag gowns. Thank you. We do also have a step available for you to view the hem detail to full effect.
Can I Wear Jewellery & Make Up?
Please, no sharp jewellery or heavy makeup and whilst we understand why you may like to wear fake tan, we do ask for you not to wear it whilst trying on our designer dresses. We like to keep all of our dresses in immaculate condition.
How Much Are The Wedding Dresses?
Main suite wedding dresses we stock have been carefully selected. Our stock ranges from £1000 – £1900. Our Sale Suite gowns start from £399 – £899. Read More about our sale suite
How Many Guests Can I Bring?
For your own comfort and that of your stylist, we suggest bringing a maximum of THREE guests. In our years of experience, we feel that too many varying opinions can really confuse a bride as everyone has a different view on the style of gown they prefer.
Can i bring children/babies?
We are more than happy to see well behaved children here at BBHQ, but you do need to be aware that we have lots of breakable items/mirrors & stairs, so it may spoil the magic of your bridal appointment experience! Due to the number of stairs our building is unsuitable for buggies/pushchairs, however you are more than welcome to bring your mobile car seat into the bridal suite.
How do i order my dream gown ?
Once you have chosen your wedding gown with Bradgate Brides, a contract will be drawn up between us. An initial 50% payment will be requested at this point. Payment is usually by BACS (we can take credit cards too) & you will have 24 hours to cancel your order should you change your mind (as per our T N C’s) with no cancellation fees/charge unless the order was on priority/rush! The balance on your gown is due 8 weeks later or on arrival of your gown into store (whichever occurs first!) Please read through your contract/our terms carefully to familiarise yourself with all eventualities!
